Hello, I'm Josh. Owner of this website and Author of the WLC Program.
I want to introduce myself, give you some background information, and even introduce you to my family.
I want you to know who I am... Why?
When you know you're getting information from someone who knows what they're doing, you'll know that what I tell you is going
to work. It gives you peace of mind... and that's why I made this page...
This page is NOT for me to brag about myself... this page is to let you know who I am. I want you to know that I'm here to help you.
I will always put you and your health first. Making money is not my goal -- helping others is the reason I am here.
Who Am I and Why Am I Here?
I am the owner of Weight-Lifting-Complete.com and author of the WLC Program (Weight Lifting Complete Program). Everything
you find on this website (with the exception of a few pages from my wife) comes straight from me.
I am the only one who writes to you and gives you information because I do not want conflicting information on this website.
The weight lifting and fitness world is confusing enough!
You need a place you can get reliable information that's not confusing.
The Work I've Done Over the Years...
I've spent the last 10 years of my life studying, experimenting, and researching ways to build muscle and burn fat. Building muscle
and burning body fat is a mystery to 99% of people. So I set out to find the truth and the resolution to this mystery...
I've found the solutions, and I'm going to pass them on to you.
I've been working on developing this website since February 2008. I have spent every single day working on this website and authoring the
WLC Program. Somedays... I work up to 17 hours.

How Did I Build 70 Pounds of Muscle And Lose Countless Pounds of Body Fat?
I first started working out in the late 90's during my college years. I had always been in decent shape from playing sports and having a job that required physical work all day long.
I grew up on a farm and had to do hard physical work my entire life.
When I went to college and got my first Engineering job, I became severely overweight. I started eating snacks at work, fast food for breakfast and lunch, and sitting at my desk all day. No activity and a horrible diet led to a very unhealthy and horrible looking body...
I still remember the moment that I looked in the mirror and became totally disgusted with myself.
Maybe you've been there before? From that moment on, I've been doing everything I can to get a healthier and better looking body.
I didn't have a clue what to do when I first started lifting weights and doing cardio. My diet was the worst. I remember eating one meal per day in an attempt to lose weight as fast as possible. And I did lose weight fast. But I dug a deeper hole...
I lost weight but most of that weight came in the form of muscle and not fat. I lost over 50 pounds but I looked sickly when I was finished. I didn't have a clue what was happening at the time. I had to be making good progress since the number on the scale went down, right?
Wrong! The number on the scale means next to nothing when it comes to progress. Your body weight conisists of lean mass and body fat mass. If you lose lean mass instead of body fat, the number on the scale will go down but you're only getting worse!
My own Mother said, "Honey, I think you need to gain some weight. You're too skinny and you're starting to look sick."
At that time, I knew I needed to learn how to build muscle and burn fat properly.
That's when I decided I wasn't going to find the truth about building muscle and burning fat. I dedicated myself right then
and there to finding the truth. And when I set my mind to do something...there's no going back.
I continued fighting to get a healthier and better looking body.
I studied, experimented, and put everything I had into
learning the proper way.
Ten years later, here I am presenting you the correct way to build muscle and burn fat!
I've been as low as 155 pounds at 8% body fat. I've reached a body weight of 240 pounds with 13% body fat. My goal at this time is to
become as healthy, fit, and functional as possible. I want to be here for my wife and kids when they need me.
Meet My Beautiful Wife and Precious Little Girl
My wife and I have been together since we were 16 years old. We got married fairly young. We were both 23. We've been married now for 6 years.
She is everything to me, and I couldn't have done any of this without her.
She has always been there for me and will always be. She's a great woman, and I'm more than lucky to be with her each and every day.
She takes care of me, helps me with anything I need, and I'm always thankful for what she does for me.
In August of 2008, we had our first baby. A little girl named Callie. There is no greater gift from God than a child.
"I've learned what life is all about, and the importance of a human life simply by witnessing the birth of my little girl."

I'm actually holding Callie in my left arm right now as I type this with my right hand. She's dancing as she hears music in the background. She absolutely loves music!

She's been lots of work, but she's worth all of it. Having a baby sure does change your life.
They are so demanding, but they're so fun. Just one smile is worth all the hard work you have to do each and every day.
You see, my wife works on the weekends as a nurse and I work during the week so we do not have to have child care.
So, I get my share of taking care of her on the weekends! I love the weekends because I get to be with her.
And I can't forget to mention our little dog Lilly...
We've had her for 3 years now ever since she fit in the palm of my hand. There she is attacking the tiger statue in our bedroom.
She has more energy than any living creature I've ever seen. She's a great dog.
She sleeps in her bed on the floor beside our bed every night and never makes a peep unless she hears an unusual noise. She protects our home.
My Education and Job
I have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville J.B. Speed Scientific School located in my home town of Louisville, KY.
I also have a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
I had a 4.0 GPA throughout college. I graduated first in the entire University of Louisville, which enrolls about 25,000 students each semester.
To summarize, I have 3 degrees that I worked very hard for... 2 Master Degrees and 1 Bachelor Degree, all from very good colleges.
I currently have a full time job as an Electrical Engineer. I've spent all of my free time studying exercise, weight lifting, diet and nutrition.
Yes, my degrees are not in exercise science or anything related. But, my true passion is exercise, diet, and nutrition for building a strong, healthy, powerful, and muscular body.
I've studied exercise, weight lifting, diet, and nutrition more than anything else in my life.
I AM an expert on building muscle and burning fat.
My Engineering background really helped me to learn and experiment with building muscle and burning fat. I love a challenge,
and that's why the human body intrigues me so much. The human body is simply amazing. Your human body has UNBELIEVABLE levels of strength.

"It Really Seems to Make Sense to Me"
I love what you have on your website and it really seems to make sense to me. Very
self explanatory... some of us need things like this spelled out for us.
I just wanted to say that I have recently started lifting weights in addition to cardio
and dieting. Seems like I never have any good results with just dieting and cardio. Weight

25 pounds on my reps... with the correct form I can really feel it working my back and hamstrings

other aspects of the program besides lifting.
I definitely already feel more energized than before and have found that I have more umphh
when doing those last couple of heavy weight reps. I'm more excited now than ever!

I gradually worked up to squatting the bar over a week or so and within 2 weeks I started
adding some weight. I'm up to 170 now of doing proper form deep squats with the 5x5 set. My

Yes, I received the "Quick Start Guide" and it's been a great help... thanks.
I've been lifting for 3 weeks now and tracking my diet calories on the meal planner log.
When I began the program I weighed 189#. Yesterday I did the end of week measurements
for the 3rd week and I weighed 197.2 lbs.
Everything is going fine but I'm finding that even though I'm adding 5 lbs of weight
onto every exercise for each workout I haven't really been pushed to my limits where I
can't do any further reps (which is great!).
I also enrolled my wife and I into our local gym just to have access to the cardio equipment.
