Bench PressThere are so many versions of the bench press out there that work very well for building strength and muscle in the chest. I highly recommend that you use different versions of the bench press throughout the year.You should switch between barbells and dumbbells, and change the angle of the bench you are using to press. You can use several different decline and incline positions. The bench press is one of the best overall compound exercises for the upper body. Bench press technique can greatly improve the amount of weight you lift and the amount of muscle you build. To learn proper technique on the bench press, get yourself a copy of Starting Strength. Your bench press strength will shoot through the roof! DipsDips are sometimes referred to as the upper body squat and definitely for good reason.
