Fat Bar Training

what do you think about using 2 inch or 3 inch thick barbells and dumbells to do heavy presses and rows.

I am starting to do them, and planning to build a couple of fat barbells for my apartment.

I use them to build grip strength when benching, deadlifting, or doing barbell/dumbell rows.

Fat Bar for Grip Training

I highly, highly recommend weight training with fat bars or thick bars.

Weight training with fat bars will help more than just your grip.

You should improve even more with other exercises as your grip strength improves.

Grip strength and forearm strength can really help with many exercises.

I say keep up the great work!!! I haven't got a chance to talk much about fat bar training on this website yet so I'm very glad you brought this up.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. For now, though, have fun with your grip training and your new fat bars.

If you'd like to put some pictures of the fat bars you are building, send them to me and I will put them here on this page. Other visitors would love to hear how you built them.
