Flooring for your Home Gym!
Quality rubber flooring is a must!
Gym
flooring for your home gym will give your gym the look and
feel of a professional gym. You can find flooring for your home gym for
reasonable prices. I've searched for rubber flooring for several years
now, and finally, someone realized that there's a market and need for
this flooring!
You don't need a huge area at home for your gym. All you really need is
a power rack, a few olympic barbell sets, olympic weights, weight
lifting bench, and an adjustable dumbbell set. A few hundred square
feet of space will be plenty of room for your weight lifting workouts.
You can now find gym flooring for a few dollars a square foot. So, if
you do the calculations, expect your home gym floor to cost you in the
five hundred dollar range. That's not a bad price to give your home gym
that look and feel that you want! If you have a larger area, expect the
cost to be more.
Find the cost of rubber flooring online. You'll be given a price per
square foot.
Simply use a tape measure to get the dimensions of the
room you are or will be using for your home gym equipment. Mulitply the
length of the room times the width of the room in feet.
The result will be the amount of square feet you need to cover your gym
floor. All you have to do now is multiply your square feet by the price
per square foot.
For example, let's say you have 250 square feet. You
find an online price of $2 per square foot. The total price of your
rubber flooring will be 250 times $2 or 500 dollars.
Why you need home gym flooring...
Flooring is essential for your home gym. I've used
a bedroom with carpet as a gym, a basement with concrete flooring, and
a basement with carpeting throughout the years of weightlifting. I can
personally tell you how much of a difference rubber flooring makes in
your home gym!
- Safety
Safety
is always number one! You should never take a chane with your safety
while lifting weights. You do not want to slip or trip while carrying
or lifting heavy weights.
I've been there before and slipping on a concrete floor is not
difficult to do. Tripping on carpet flooring is also possible, and it
only takes one time to really do some damge! Be safe and use rubber
flooring in your home gym.
- Floor Protection
Rubber
gym flooring will protect your current flooring in your new home gym.
The extra cost of the rubber flooring will protect your current floor.
For example, if you work out in your basement as I do, you don't want
to crack the concrete floor by dropping heavy weights.
You could cost yourself hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars by
cracking your flooring. Rubber flooring will protect your current floor
and leave it looking perfect if you ever decide to move from your home
or move your home gym to another location in your home.
- Absorbs Shock
Shock
absorbtion from the rubber will help protect your floor. Just imagine
trying to sit a 400 pound barbell down easy on the concrete floor for
every rep on your set of deadlifts.
You shouldn't have to worry about setting the bar down so easy on every
rep! This takes away from your concentration. With a rubber floor, the
shock is absorbed and you won't have to worry about setting the bar
down easily on every rep.
With rubber flooring, you can put your full concentration into your
weightlifting. You'll lift heavier weights and build more muscle.
- Noise Reduction
If you
will be lifting weights in your home, your workout could become very
loud depending on the location of your gym inside your home. Free
weights clanking on the floor on every rep can get loud. The correct
gym flooring can help reduce noise in your gym.
Your family will very much appreciate the reduction in noise. It can
get very annoying for the rest of your family or for you when another
member of your family is working out.
- Professional Look and Feel
Let's
face it, a rubber floor will look great inside your new home gym.
You'll love working out in your gym with it's professional look and
feel. What would you rather have? A bare concrete floor, carpet, or a
rubber floor that absorbs noice and reduces shock
Installing home gym flooring is a no-brainer when
you weigh the benefits versus the cost. Safety alone is a great reason
to purchase flooring for your gym. Get yours today!
