The Hip Belt
by Ironmind is one of my favorite pieces of weight training
equipment. I use it for so many different exercises that I had to list
it as a piece of weight lifting equipment and not just an accessory.
Even the World's Strongest Man winner, Magnus Samuelsson (shown above),
loves using this belt by Ironmind to increase strength!
I absolutely love
this belt because it takes so much of the beating off of my lower back
when using it in the place of barbells and dumbell for certain
exercises.
Easing the work on the lower back is one of the most important
things you can do for any weight lifting program. Less lower back work
on other exercises means you can use your lower back more on the big
compound exercises like Squats, Deadlifts, and Rows.
What exercises can I do?
Well, I like to use it for squats, donkey calf raises, standing calf
raises, weighted dips, and weighted chin ups or pull ups.
I'm sure you
could use it for even more if you are creative. I especially love it
for all of my calf work because it adds no extra stress to my lower
back! Standing Barbell Calf Raises put a lot of stress on your back,
but substitute this belt for the barbell and you've got no lower back
stress at all!
The hip belt is a great tool to add to your weight training equipment.
It really alows you to do so much more with your weightlifting program.
Where do you get a hip belt?
The only place you can get this belt is directly through Ironmind
Enterprises. The price of the belt is over $100 and is a little steep.
But, Ironmind makes high quality products!
I've had mine for over 4 years now, and it looks like it's brand new!
You can find the belt at this link to Ironmind's online store:
