EXACTLY What You Should Be Eating

The list of healthy food on this page will help you along your journey to a better body and better health.

Many people under estimate the power of healthy foods. Food can either help you or hurt you. Healthy foods help you. Junk food will really, really hurt you. And many people don't know the difference in junk food and healthy food.

So today... I'm going to tell you exactly what foods you should be eating to build muscle, burn fat, and get the body you really want.

Do You Know How to Recognize Unhealthy Foods?

Do you know what makes a food unhealthy? Most people do not know the difference between healthy and unhealthy foods. And that's why many people aren't eating healthy...

If you simply knew what foods were unhealthy, you could avoid them... right?

Unhealthy foods are foods that will cause a decline in your health and add unwanted body fat that weighs your body down.

Unhealthy foods wreak havoc on your body. They are poison to your body because your body has to use nutrients to get rid of all the poisons you've fed your body. So they rob your body of precious vitamins and minerals that you need.

I'm sure you can recognize all the normal junk food out there like chips, candy bars, doughnuts, cake, pie, fast food, etc. Those are the easy ones to avoid.

The unhealthy food that's hard to recognize are the ones that are cleverly marketed as health food. Here are examples of so-called health food that will wreak havoc on your body:

  • Frozen dinners of ANY type
  • Popular Diet Products
  • Most Fruit Juices
  • Sodas Including Diet Soda
  • Corn Based Products
  • Low Fat Products
  • Most Cereals
  • Sugar Free Products
  • Most Protein Bars
  • Crackers and Chips


The unhealthy foods listed above are just a few... let me give you a few examples:

Pretzels... healthy or unhealthy? Believe it or not, they are unhealthy for you. Most breads have added ingredients that are very bad for you. Soy products of any type are unhealthy including soy milk.

It may seem tough to recognize unhealthy foods, huh? I'm going to make this easier for you by giving you a list of healthy food and how to always ensure you're eating healthy.

5 Categories of Healthy Foods

The WLC Program is a muscle building and fat burning program that I developed... I want to talk about the 5 categories of food that you're allowed to eat within the program.

The program is a very powerful muscle building and fat burning program when implemented. Proper diet and nutrition is just one part of the program.

Within the WLC Program, you will find meal plans that include options for each of the 5 categories of healthy foods:

  1. Lean Protein Sources
  2. Natural Starchy Carbohydrates
  3. Natural Sugary Carbohydrates
  4. Natural Fibrous Carbohydrates
  5. Essential Fats


If you stick to foods within the 5 categories above, you will build muscle and burn fat very quickly. Within the WLC Program, you also learn how to combine the 5 groups above to form powerful meal plans.

To further help you understand each of the 5 categories above, I've put together a list of healthy food for each category. This is not a complete list of healthy food but it gives you a great idea of what you should be eating.

#1. Lean Protein Sources

Any lean protein source is a good source of protein. The more natural the protein source... the better it is for you. For example, cows are meant to be fed grass as their source of food. Grain fed cows are not as healthy.

  • Grass Fed Beef
  • Pork Tenderloin
  • Whole Eggs
  • Real Cow's Milk
  • Wild Caught Fish
  • Chicken Breast
  • Lean Cuts of Steak


Fast food burgers, chicken, and other meats are not healthy sources. Grilled chicken isn't a bad option if you have to eat fast food.

#2. Natural Starchy Carbohydrates

Natural starchy carbohydrates are premium fuel for your body. If you are following the weight lifting programs within the WLC Program, these food sources ensure you have the energy you need to make progress in the gym:

  • Oats
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Yams
  • Red Potatoes
  • Quinoa
  • All Types of Beans
  • Brown Rice


Did you know white potatoes are actually healthy for you? I hear so many people talk about how white potatoes are bad for you... that's a lie.

#3. Natural Sugary Carbohydrates

All types of fruit fit under this category. We're talking REAL fruit here. Fruit juices you find in the store are not good for you. It's hard to beat the taste and nutrition of fresh fruit.

  • Apples
  • Bananas
  • Grapefruit
  • Oranges
  • Grapes
  • Papaya
  • Berries


There are tons of different fruits you can each day. A variety of foods is always the best so you are getting the powerful benefits of each type of food.

#4. Natural Fibrous Carbohydrates

So many people underestimate the power of vegetables... especially the fibrous type of veggies:

  • Cabbage
  • Asparagus
  • Celery
  • Carrots
  • Peppers
  • Kale
  • Spinach


Fibrous veggies should be eaten throughout the day. Within the WLC Program, we discuss how these veggies help create an environment inside your body that will lead to more muscle and less body fat.

It's very important that you're eating the right amount of fibrous veggies each day.

#5. Essential Fats

Many people continue to believe all dietary fat is bad for you. Well, I'm here to tell you that the right fats are VERY, VERY beneficial to you and your health.

  • Fish Oil
  • Flax Oil
  • Olive Oil
  • Avocados
  • Sunflower Seeds
  • Almonds
  • Walnuts


All types of nuts and seeds are great sources of essential fats. You just have to be careful not to go overboard with them because they are high in calories... that's not a bad thing. You just don't want to sit there and eat an entire can of cashews!

Is The Food I'm About to Eat Good For Me?

You should always stop and ask yourself before buying foods at the grocery or before eating anything... "Is this good for me?"

You can always answer that question easily by asking yourself one very important question: "Is this food natural?" If the food is natural and hasn't been modified in some factory or had tons of bad things added to it, it's probably good for you.

If the ingredients list is short... usually only one ingredient, then you have yourself a natural food. For example, I go to my pantry and pull out a bag of pecans that my wife absolutely loves. Ingredients list: Pecans. That's it!

Healthy foods won't have a long list of ingredients filled with sugars, artificial flavors, and artificial sweeteners. Healthy foods will usually only have one ingredient. Then you know what you're getting, and you know it's healthy.

Totally Blown Away by the WLC System...


Hi Josh,

Greetings from Australia, mate. I received your WLC Program recently and have only just got to emailing you (reason being I took quite a while exploring the entire package!!!).

I have to admit that over the past years I've purchased many programs via the internet and I can say with complete honesty that I have *never, ever*, had the pleasure of receiving one such as yours!!!

I was totally blown away by everything, from the log books, the big beefy manual, right on through to all those fantastic calculators! It comes through that you really put your all into the package. I've seen all those programs which claim to 'lay it all out for you ... paint by numbers ... take you step-by-step', etc.but only one is deserving of these claims ... and it's yours.

I especially found the goal setting information to be very, very comprehensive and so well laid out. I've read goal setting books, articles, websites, etc. but never really applied any of it to my endeavours in the gym.

Your system will have me going after my dream body with a vengeance, as I will be commencing the program this coming Monday.

In previous years I was a chronic "routine/program hopper"; I'd spot yet another new system I thought I would follow and away I'd go ... for about 3 weeks if I was lucky!

Despite all that, during some years I'd build a little muscle, lose a little fat and start looking reasonable, then slack off. I have a well equipped home gym which includes everything you recommend.

I have always been good with my meal choices but the bottom line is I was never consistent with anything!!!!

I have a very strong feeling all that is about to end - pronto! I'm really looking forward to starting the program Monday 30th August, and totally looking forward to some *real results at last*.

Oh, by the way I am 56 years old and my long-term goal is to have an awesome physique at 60 in comparison to the average one I had at 30. Thank you once again for putting out such a terrific and very complete program - I will not have any hesitation in recommending it to everyone I know.
