Strength training programs have many purposes... I'm going to talk about why you need to implement a strength specific program every so often.

Every beginner to weight training MUST start out with a strength specific program. The beginner must focus on building strength FIRST because a good base of strength is needed to build muscle.

You can't build more muscle without more strength and you can't build more strength without more muscle mass. So they go hand-in-hand and that's why a strength specific program is so important.

In other words, you need to focus on building strength at specific periods of time. You must do this in order to build more muscle later.

From beginners to advanced weight lifters... everyone needs to focus on building maximum amounts of strength at specific periods of time throughout the year.

Every beginner to WLC starts out with a program that focuses on building strength.

The weight lifting program is a 5x5 program meaning you do 5 sets of 5 reps on BIG compound weight lifting exercises like the squat, deadlift, bench press, overhead press, and rows. A few more of the best exercises are also included.

The goal is to add weight to the bar for every exercise of every workout.

With the strategy we give you... it's VERY possible to add weight from the beginning to the end of the workout cycle.

Once you finish the beginner weight training program, you move onto a muscle gaining program that takes advantage of the huge amounts of strength you gained in the strength training program you just completed.

During the muscle building program, you also build strength -- but it focuses on building maximum amounts of lean muscle mass.

Your progression through the phases will continue with a more advanced strength training program and muscle building program.
