A complete weight lifting program must be your first priority before worrying about smaller factors in building muscle like tips and techniques. A good program, such as WLC, will give you the majority of your muscle mass. The tips and techniques I discuss below are like icing on a cake. The WLC Program is the cake!
Focus on a Complete Weight Lifting Program first!
Before I get to the tips and techniques, I want to ensure you understand the importance of a complete program. A complete program will consist of weight lifting, stretching, diet, cardio, and planning. You need to get all of those components in order before worrying about the techniques discussed below. Examples of Tips and Techniques in E-Zine
Larger Weight Increments: When designing your weight lifting program for your next WLC Cycle, try implementing this strategy. You'll be amazed at the difference and the quantity of muscle you'll gain.
Extra Days of Rest: If you're feeling worn out from weight lifting and lack of sleep, take the day off. Instead of lifting weights, you can take a nap for a few hours. This will be a huge difference maker.
Finding the right Weighted Stretch: Experiment with weighted stretching positions until you find a position that really stretches the target muscle.
Improved Recovery: Use cardio, massage, sleep, and other techniques to get the blood circulating and improve recovery time. Improved recovery leads to more muscle building opportunities.
Calf building: Use these techniques to get those calves growing! I continue my calf growth using an increased range of motion, a longer than normal peak contraction, and a longer than normal stretch. Decrease lower back strain when working your calves by using a hip belt.
Eating more calories: Easy ways to add more calories to your diet. Fatty acid oils and liquids are the way to go. Eat foods high in calorie content!
