Weight lifting advice please

I need help finding a sturdy workout plan to build my chest muscles. I have a bench press and everything but I don't know how to increase my strength without burning my muscles and ending up right back where I started.

At first I was doing 3 sets of 12 reps, and then I gradually increased to 14 (1st set), 13 (2nd set), and 12 (last set). But lately my strength has dropped because now I'm struggling just to get to 12 reps on each set. I just finished working out and I only got to 12, 12 (struggling), and then 11.

Why am I getting weaker? What adjustment can I make so that I only get stronger? I take two days for a break between weight lifting sessions. Advice please? Thanks!

Full Body Workouts, Diet and Nutrition, Rest and Recovery...

Here's the problem...

You need a COMPLETE program if you want to improve your chest. Your chest just can't improve and get stronger without the proper nutrients. Diet and nutrition is VERY important along with rest and recovery from your workouts. Proper hydration is also very important.

If you're not eating enough and eating junk foods, it will be very difficult to gain strength and build muscle.

You need to stay hydrated throughout the day. You need plenty of rest each night. You need to flood your body with plenty of muscle building nutrients throughout the day.

And you need a good weight lifting program that has you working your entire body. Believe it or not... other exercises will help you get stronger on bench press.
