Weight Lifting Programs
Guidelines for choosing a program

How do you choose between all the different weight lifting programs? There are so many out there.
Should you have to pay for the program? How do you know if it is a good program? Does it fit your needs?

I knew how it felt when I was a beginner at weight lifting. I still remember the feeling. I just took any information I could find and ran with it. I thought that as long as I was lifting weights with any weight training program that I would make progress.

I had no idea what I was doing or where I was going. I just knew I needed to lose some weight, but I had no clue who to follow or who to listen to. I am here to be the voice you need because I know what you need to do.

All muscle building programs are not created equal!

Do you have no idea where you're going? Are you like the guys in the picture below? Confused? Look no more, my friend! I will lead you in the right direction. Let me be your road map to the body of your dreams.

Training Routines

Routines are one of the biggest and I mean biggest problems I have with all the weight lifting information out there on the internet. I cannot stand to read about training routines any more. Before we go any farther, I want you to read why Training Routines are useless.

I want you to understand the difference between weight lifting programs and weight lifting routines. Know that you need to have a plan and not just a single routine. Any weight training program will give much greater results than some routine you find in a magazine.

5 Important Guidelines for your
Weight Lifting Program

1. Is there a plan for increasing the amount of weight lifted over time? In other words, is there a planned progression of weight lifted?

2. Does the program include compound weight lifting exercises that work the entire body at once and cut down on time?

3. Are there techniques that help you avoid overtraining? or at least some way to recognize when overtraining is about to occur?

4. Are there planned breaks or planned decreases in work load?

5. Are all the major muscle groups a focus of the program?

If you answered YES to all of the five questions above, then you have a weight lifting program that was well laid out and one that will most likely work.
Will it be the best program for you? You need a program that fits your goals!

Your weightlifting program must help you work towards your goals and not work against you. For example, if you are dieting down, you will need a program that will not overtrain you because of decreased calories. You want a program that allows you to increase the weight lifted while you are in a calorie deficit.

Please make sure that your weight lifting program gives you a stimulus for muscle growth, has a diet that fits your goals, helps you plan out your progress, gives you enough rest to grow and recover, and gets you to your goals!

If the weight program you are currently using does not include a weight lifting plan, a diet plan, cardio, and stretching, you should think about switching to one of the muscle building programs listed on this page!

money

Why dish out all that money? There are many free weight training programs out there that are very good! Most of the good ones out there are better than any that you would ever pay for.

There is a huge problem with these free weightlifting programs, though! All of the information on the program is hard to find. You may have to spend a month or so searching on a website for all the information you need.

How do you even know if the program is a good one or not? Please read Why Weight Lifting? Many times people will tell you something is good or bad without even giving it a fair chance. It goes both ways. How will you know who to believe?

Well, you can believe me when I say I have one of the best weight lifting programs out there right here on this website. I include everything you need right here! You don't have to go on a month long search just to find the information you need.

The Free WEIGHT LIFTING COMPLETE Program

I am going to give you all the information you need about a program I have developed that incorporates all of THE important muscle building techniques you will ever need. There will be no more searching! Everything will be laid out for you and all the tools will be right here on this website.

Plan your future goals and actually meet them once and for all! There is no way you will fail if you follow my guidelines set forth on this website.

My program meets all of the 5 guidelines I have laid out because I designed it to meet those guidelines. You can always continue using your current weight training program if it works well for you, but please read about the WLC Program anyway.

You may get some good weight lifting tips or techniques you can add to your arsenal of weight lifting information. So read on my friend! You can even take some of the muscle building techniques included in the WLC Program and apply them to your weight training.

Everything you need to know about the program will be laid out on a few web pages and can be found on the "WLC Program" tab on your upper left! So, are you ready to see what this program is about?

Finally, a Complete Program!

The program is called WLC for Weight-Lifting-Complete! I've decided to name it this because it is a COMPLETE program and is the only weight lifting program you will ever need. You can adapt this program to fit any goals you might have.

Looking to build muscle? Do you want to focus on strength first? How about fat loss? You can reach any of these goals and go above and beyond anything you ever wished for!

I will not only include the weight lifting part of the program, but I will include diet plans for you to customize to your taste! I will show you how to plan for the short term and long term. I will show you how much cardio to do, when to do it, and how to progress.

What I am giving you here is a complete program for weight lifters that goes through every detail! No searching. It's all organized and easy to find. Every aspect of the program is explained.

Looking for a Muscle Building Program?

Click Here to take you to the WLC Program

Or go to the "WLC Program" button on the Nav Bar.

Before you click that link, you might want to take a second to review beginner, intermediate, and advanced weight lifting. This will give you a few guidelines to consider when choosing your WLC Program.

Intermediate
Advanced

Remember, these are only my definitions so that you will be able to choose the correct WLC Program for you. I am trying to help those that do not have a clue which WLC program to choose.

You might also want to do a little reading on Weight Lifting Workouts. It's important you understand the phases of a weight lifting workout. And also read about Weight Lifting Routines. You need to understand exactly what a weight lifting routine is so you don't fall into any traps in the future.

Other Good Weight Lifting Programs

If you'd like to have some links to other good weight lifting programs or bodybuilding programs that I personally recommend, please see the links below. Remember, I would rather you choose the Weight Lifting Complete Program. The WLC Program has given me and many others the greatest progress!

no nonsense muscle building program
No Nonsense Muscle Building
: Vince DelMonte, a fitness champion and model, created this muscle building program! Check it out at the link for more information. Read the testimonials on the program and pay particular attention to the before and after photos. If you're looking for a great weight lifting program, check this one out!

5x5 Training
: This training was used by Bill Starr and Glenn Pendlay. It's good for beginners who want to gain strength. Muscle size is more of a side effect of this training. This is a good training program, but only includes info on weight training. Still a good read if you want to learn something! I haven't heard to many success stories in terms of muscle gains, but strength gains are great.

Hypertrophy Specific Training: Bryan Haycock is the inventor of Hypertrophy Specific Training. This is one of the better weight lifting programs out there today. HST uses many similar concepts of the Weight Lifting Complete Program. The WLC program goes much further by providing you with everything that you need and includes many techniques not included with HST.
