Weight Lifting Supplements These are only "supplements"...
Weight Lifting Supplements are exactly what the name says they are! They are supplements or aids to a good weight lifting program. They are not the most important thing like some people believe! Some supplements are important to me for reasons I will discuss a little later.
You don't need Supplements...
to make great progress!
I see too many beginners worried about finding that magic supplement that will get them the body they want fast! I'm here to tell you that nothing like that exists. Use this page as your guide to weight lifting supplements! I won't guide you in the wrong direction.
Weight Lifting Supplements Provide Convenience
Your diet, cardio, and weight lifting program are much more important than supplements. Sometimes supplements can aid your diet and make it much better due to convenience factors. I like certain supplements because they allow me to eat quick liquid meals instead of taking the time to cook or go out and get something to eat.
Liquid meals are very important to those people who have trouble gaining weight and building muscle. Building muscle is difficult if you have trouble gaining weight. Many people that have trouble gaining weight have trouble eating enough food to gain weight. Liquid meals through the use of weight lifting supplements like whey protein and fatty acid oils really help the weight lifter to build muscle! Extra calories are very important in building muscle and supplements can help provide those extra calories in liquid form.
I like supplements because certain substances are hard to get without eating a ton of food. For example, I really believe in fish oil but I don't want to eat fish all the time and every day just to get the same amount as what's in a few tablespoons. If you would rather eat that much fish, enjoy it, and can afford it then you should go ahead and go that direction.
Don't get trapped!
Please don't fall into that trap that some supplement companies try to make you fall in to. Here's a simple method of bringing yourself back to reality. You have to ask yourself the question: Does this sound too good to be true? Will I really look like that person in the magazine if I take this substance? Quick answer...No!
Just please do not fall into that mindset that you are going to find weight lifting supplements that work wonders. You will waste lots of money and have nothing to show for it. Spend that money on food or weight lifting equipment. Or an even better idea would be to put it in the bank. I've been there before. I wasted hundreds of dollars on an order when I first started, and I needed the money then! Follow my advice!
We want to be transformed!
We all want to believe the supplement companies because we want the supplements to work. We want an easy way out. We want that transformation that we see in the magazines and on TV.
I know because I was there when I first started lifting weights. I made the mistake. I learned from the mistake. So ask yourself if it's too good to be true before spending your hard earned money on any weight lifting supplements. Remember, they are called "supplements" for a reason.
I am going to give you all the supplements that I trust in on this page and some that I don't trust in. Read about each and see why I like them or why I don't like them. Then you can make a decision on your own about the supplement. But remember, a good weight lifting program, diet, and cardio will do much more than any supplement could ever do. Always remember that!
If there is any supplement out there that claims to be like steroids or growth hormone, please just ignore it. Nothing is even close to the real thing and all the bad supplement companies will try to con you into thinking they are just as good. Don't ever believe that!
Steroids in your protein powder, ha!
Remember when the Linebacker from the San Diego Chargers got caught for using steroids and he said that a supplement company put steroids in his protein powder? Remember that? Well, the general public is actually stupid enough to believe that! He was trying to save his reputation, and he is a liar. No supplement company is going to accidentally put expensive steroids in their protein powder. So, you don't have to worry about accidentally getting steroids in your protein powder or any of your other weight lifting supplements that you buy!!!
You don't ever want to take the chance with your health by using steroids. Steroids are illegal and for good reasons. I believe that many people can take steroids safely, but the majority of people will abuse them so they must be outlawed for that reason alone. Natural is the way to go, and you know that you aren't taking any chances at all with your health. Why take a chance with your health and your life?
Tried and Tested by Me!
Click the link to take you to the page for each weight lifting supplement! This is a no BS review. I am not trying to sell these, and I could care less about the companies.
I will tell you about my experiences with these supplements. That does not mean that they did not work for someone else or vice versa. I am not here to argue about these supplements so please don't take it that way.
Whey Protein is my favorite supplement because of the convenience and cost factor. You can't get cheaper protein by the gram anywhere. Sure, I would love to have steak, beef, chicken, shrimp, and fish over a liquid drink anyday! But sometimes I just don't have the time or just don't feel like making a meal...
I would much rather you get all the vitamins you need from the food you eat. If you have a good diet packed with nutritious foods, then you may not need extra vitamins. If you want to be safe, though, extra vitamins will not hurt...
I actually love green tea simply because it's good for you. I am not too sure about the supposed fat burning effects. I still use green tea because I've never been sick while drinking green tea on a weight lifting cycle...
I like creatine, but it doesn't do anything spectacular for me like some people claim. It seems to work very well for many people. I personally continue to take it becuase I seem to gain a little strength with it, which is worth it to me...
Glutamine has done absolutely nothing for me. I took it in fairly large doses and it still did nothing for me. Some people say you need very large doses, which is not economical for me and is only more trouble and cost. It has never helped my recovery...
I actually love Beta Alanine and most people probably haven't heard of it. It seems to give me added strength by giving me that last little effort to push through a rep. You can do without it, but I still take it on some of my weight lifting cycles.
I believe Pre Workout is one of the most important parts of the day. I am also talking about during the workout in this section. I really believe in Pre Workout Supplements and will always take them.
Post workout is the most important part of your day with respect to meeting your goals. You can do it without supplements, but I love using supplements to speed up the recovery process...
This is another staple in my diet. I love using oils and adding them to my protein shakes for a great meal. Oils make it easy to add calories to your diet without any extra time, which make them great muscle builders...
I like to take advantage of BCAAs during the pre and post workout periods. I also like to use them during fat loss cycles because they are calorie free...
This is a good supplement and is comparable to BCAAs, but they have one huge drawback. Cost! These are very expensive, but some of you may find them worth the money. They are also hard to find. Make sure you find true LBA's...
I believe in Liver Tablets and have used them for multiple cycles. I do get tired of taking so many pills. Certain brands will have huge pills that are hard to swallow so be careful...
I do not believe in fat burners at all. I have only used them for a few cycles, and I really don't notice much of anything with them. I have always trusted in the diet and cardio for fat loss...
Again, These are only Weight Lifting Supplements
Remember, I am only discussing the weight lifting supplements that I have personally tried and tested. If I haven't listed a supplement then I probably haven't felt the need to try the supplement because I didn't believe the claims that have been made or I just never heard of the supplement.
I don't keep up with all the new supplements out there, but I do trust in certain companies and when they come out with something I may end up giving it a try. I always know not to expect unbelievable results when I try a supplement.
Most weight lifting supplements will only lead to gains over long periods of time. Some people expect unbelievable things to happen in a period of a few days! Never expect that.
For those tight on Money
I also want to give some advice to those out there that don't have too much money to be spending on these weight lifting supplements. Trust me, supplements should not be your focus. Everything on this website is free or very close to free and a great body can be built without all of these supplements. All you need to do is put the work in!
Money Saving Techniques for your Diet
If you don't have the money to spend on weight lifting supplements, then please do not spend the money on them. Save your money for the most important things in life. Feeding your families and saving money for the future of your family is the most important! If you have extra money to spend after taking care of your family and saving extra for your family, then by all means try some of these supplements. You can meet your goals without them, though!
You might want to analyze the difference in cost between certain protein sources you buy at the grocery and the cost of whey protein. The price of whey protein has gone up, but so has everything else at the grocery! So, do a cost analysis of the whey protein per gram compared to other foods you buy at the grocery. Always look for coupons and deals at the grocery!
