Weight Lifting Techniques Tips, Tricks, and Secrets
Let me tell you a story about myself... one that will make you want to learn proper weight lifting techniques.
Picking up a light weight and lifting it isn't difficult. But lifting heavy weights with proper form and technique is an art.
99% of people you see in the gym are lifting weights totally wrong. That's exactly why many of them never make any progress.
If those same people would learn how to lift weights with proper form and technique, they would get stronger much faster and build muscle
easily. Instead, they struggle workout upon workout because they aren't using proper weight lifting techniques.
Now, before you think you aren't one of those people... listen to my story.
You Might Think You're Using Proper Form And Technique... But Are You Really?
I went 7 years until I finally listened, took some time to watch some videos, and practice proper weight lifting techniques.
I thought I knew everything I needed to know about weight training. I had made progress, so how could I be doing anything wrong?
I finally studied the exercises and learned how to do them properly.
From there on out, I practiced doing the weight lifting exercises vigorously. When I finally got it right, do you know what happened?
Here's just one example from the Overhead Press...
Remember, I had been lifting weights for almost 7 years before I learned proper form and technique on many exercises.
I could lift 145 pounds for about 10 reps on the Overhead Press for a 1 rep max equal to about 193 pounds. When I finally figured out how
to do the Overhead Press properly, my strength skyrocketed. And I mean skyrocketed.
It only took me a few months to increase to 175 pounds for 10 reps. My 1 rep max lift was now 233 pounds. That's an amazing strength gain
for someone who had 7 years experience.
Do you know what happened along with those HUGE strength gains? The muscle mass piled on along with the strength gains as I was eating to
build muscle.
So, you might think you know what you're doing, but please listen and follow the links on this page to learn more. The overhead press might
seem like a simple lift but there's more to proper weight lifting techniques than you think.
And that same fact holds true on every exercise.
