Weight Training Shoes
Provide a Stable and Level Base!

weight training shoe

Weight training shoes can and will make a huge difference in the amount of weight you lift and the results you receive from your weight lifting workouts. Proper form and weight lifting technique depends on the weight lifting shoes you choose!

You might be thinking...

How do weight training shoes effect my workout? How in the world will they help me lift more weight and build more muscle? You're crazy, Josh!

Well, I'm not crazy. The correct weight lifting shoes will help you lift with proper form and technique, which leads to you lifting heavier weights and building more muscle and strength! Let's talk more about these claims...

Most people make a huge mistake...

What type of shoe do you wear to the gym for your weight lifting workouts? If you've been wearing running shoes or cross trainers to the gym to lift weights, you are making a huge mistake!

Any shoe that has air, gel, or any type of excessive padding is a bad weight lifting shoe.

This means those expensive Nike Air shoes or anything similar is a horrible shoe for weight lifting. Why?

When you lift weights, the force you apply to the weight starts at the ground under your feet. You want all the force you generate to be applied directly to the bar. When you wear shoes that have air, gel, or other padding, those shoes are absorbing much of the force you are generating to lift the weight.

This means you have to apply more force to lift the weight because the shoe has absorbed some of that force you generated!

With the correct weight training shoe, you will be able to lift more weight and build more muscle. Air and gel shoes absorb the force you apply.

Imagine standing on a platform filled with air or gel and lifting weights. The platform is not stable and will absorb much of the force you apply to lift the weights. You would have to lower the amount of weight you lift due to the air filled platform! The surface is also not stable, which contributes to injury.

You don't want to be lifting heavy weights on an unstable surface. This is very dangerous and could lead to bad injury. Get a pair of good weightlifting shoes today...
