WLC Program Recovery A unique WLC method of recovery
WLC Program Recovery is a component of the WLC weight lifting program that is unique to this program. Recovery will allow you to continue progressing by giving you a physical and mental break form the heavy weights and tough sets. Recovery is also a component of this weight lifting program that prevents injury. Preventing injury should be a top priority for everyone.
What exactly is WLC Program Recovery?
Recovery will occur for one week at a time for multiple times throughout your WLC cycle. The timing of the Recovery week is important and will occur after a tough week in which you will lift more weight than your body has ever lifted. After a tough Intensity Week, you will utilize Recovery to give you a mental and physical break.
Recovery Weeks will get you ready to lift some heavy weight again
You will add a set to certain exercises throughout the recovery week. The weight will be decreased from the previous week but will increase as the recovery week continues. You will be ready to lift some heavy weight again after your recovery weeks.

You can see from the table that we will decrease the weight during the recovery week for the first workout. From there, we will slowly work back up to the previous week's max weight, but we will do a few less reps. The Recovery week will have you primed and ready to to break some records in the Intensity weeks.
Injury Prevention
I want everyone to take the chance during your recovery weeks to work on your form on exercises. The recovery weeks will give you a chance to perfect your form and to ensure you're lifting heavy weights in the following weeks with proper form. Many people will lose good form as they are always trying to lift as heavy as possible.
There will be no need to start over with an exercise because you've let your form go!
I've had to lower the amount of weight so many times and pretty much start over on an exercise because I let my form get so bad. I've become injured in the past because of this breakdown in form. With the WLC Program Recovery Weeks, you have a chance to perfect your form throughout the cycle.
