Let’s talk about some workout recovery techniques that you may or may not know about:
I purchased a hot tub several years ago after building a deck on the back of my home.
I had a traumatic experience with wiring the hot tub, so I’ll always remember that day.
I was stripping some wire rated for underground service. When the wire is rated for underground service, it has a thick and hard rubber coating. I got a little careless and cut my thumb with a brand new razor blade utility knife.
No one was home, and half my thumb was just hanging there. My sister came and picked me up and took me to the hospital.
Everything turned out fine, but I’ve lost most of the feeling in that thumb.
Even Through All Of That, The Hot Tub Was One of My Best Purchases EVER
Even through all of that, I still consider my hot tub to be one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.
It’s so relaxing and provides so many great benefits for building muscle. It will help you recover from tough workouts faster than ever before.
Here are some other benefits:
- Reduce joint pain
- Reduce muscle pain
- Reduces stress
- Promotes deep sleep
- Increases blood circulation
- More nutrients to the muscles
- Relieves headaches
During one muscle building cycle a few years ago, I was working hard experimenting with twice a day workouts and other things. I knew I would need the increased recovery benefits.
Every afternoon when I arrived home from work on rest days, I would get in the hot tub, relax, massage sore muscles with the jets, and then take an hour nap.
Of course, all of that was before kids! That’s not happening any more, especially the nap.
The results I achieved from that muscle building cycle were amazing. I attribute a lot of that muscle gain from the use of a hot tub. I was able to relax, reduce stress, recover faster, and sleep so much better.
Give This Recovery Method a Shot if You Have the Time and Money — It WORKS!!!
Today, I just don’t have the time to use the hot tub that much and take a nap on rest days. If you do, I highly recommend that you give this method a shot.
Your results WILL improve so much.
Hot tubs can be very expensive, and cost several hundred dollars to install. They will also raise your electric bill by $30 or so each month depending on the filter cycle you choose, the weather, and how well your hot tub is insulated to keep heat in.
You can try searching for good deals locally. Hot tubs are large and heavy so many times people give them away just to get rid of them.
Check your local classified ads.
Oh… by the way, a hot tub can serve as a small pool in the hot summer as well. Kids especially love it. For only a few thousand, you could have a nice hot tub.
Hot Tub Alternatives for Increased Rest and Recovery
Try taking a hot bath to help you recover faster from workouts. It’s not the same, but you can really relax with a hot bath in a dimly lit bathroom with candles and bubble bath. Close your eyes and let all your troubles drift away.
And this tip is not only for the women out there.
What’s so bad about a man taking a nice, hot bath with scented candles and bubble bath? That’s right — there’s nothing wrong with it… It’s actually quite nice.
If you’re a man, don’t be scared to take a hot bath.
A hot bath can really help you build more muscle and strength.
And ladies … enjoy your hot baths. They will help you get a better body and live a healthier life.
Decreasing stress in your life should be a top priority. So many health issues come from stress.
Less stress = a healthy and happier you.
