You Need to Start Using the WLC System Before It's Too Late
You only have one shot to show everyone what you have when you go through your training.
If you're out of shape, leadership will notice and your reputation will take a hit from the beginning. If you start out in great shape and work hard and get in even better shape, you will begin building a great reputation.
This is great for moving up and getting promotions in the future.
Always show others you work hard and be a leader. You are destined to be promoted if you show those qualities. Always help others and put others first. You'll move up fast.

Is the Army's Method of Measuring Body Fat A Good Method?
I don't agree 100% with the body fat measurement guidelines the Army uses but it does make it very easy to get a body fat percentage using their methods.
I would rather the Army choose to use body fat skinfold measurements but you would need to purchase a skinfold caliper to do this measurement.
It's actually very easy to use a skinfold caliper and find your body fat percentage.
Body fat skinfold measurements are more accurate BUT waist measurements can also be a good measure of body fat. If you need to lose body fat, measuring your waist will give a great indication of whether or not you are losing fat.
As long as your waist measurement is moving downwards, you are losing fat.
In the WLC System, I actually recommend using body fat calipers, your waist measurement, and other body part measurements to measure your muscle building and fat loss progress each week.
Overall, though, the Army's method of measuring body fat is a good method. It's not the best method but it is a good choice.
