Do you realize the amazing benefits of sunlight?
Do you go outside often throughout the year?
Do you live in an area that is sunny most of the year?
I live in an area that gets pretty hot during the summer and pretty cold during the winter.
Sometimes our winters last from October to March… sometimes less, sometimes more.
This year, I couldn't wait for winter to be over so I could get some sunlight. It felt as if my body was craving the sunshine.
Have you ever felt that way?
Today, I'm going to talk more about the benefits of sunlight and how being outside more often can really help you. And when I say help you… I mean sunlight is REALLY going to help you. The sun is absolutely amazing and I miss it all through the cold days of winter!
Ready? Let's get started…
Did You Know Sunlight Can Increase Testosterone Production?
Sunlight is one of the only FREE ways to increase your testosterone production.
It's absolutely FREE to go outside and get some sunlight.
Some studies have shown that sunlight can even double your testosterone production! Amazing, huh?
How does sunlight stimulate the production of testosterone?
Ultraviolet rays from the sun stimulate the production of luteinizing hormone — which in turn, stimulates the production of testosterone.
You never hear anything about sunlight increasing testosterone production and helping you build muscle and burn fat simply because sunlight is FREE and no one profits from the sunlight.
It's sad but true.
But now you know… this isn't anything new either — people have known about the benefits of sunlight for hundreds and hundreds of years.
The Greeks and Romans believed in sun bathing and included it in their training protocols. They knew that the sun helped them perform better. They knew what they were doing!
I highly recommend you do sun bathing as often as you can. Just relax out in the sun and enjoy a day here and there. I know you're busy, but relax and enjoy the sun.
ZZZZ… ZZZZ… ZZZZ… Sunlight Improves the Quality of Sleep
One of the HUGE benefits of sunlight is the way it really makes you sleep well. If you've ever spent a day at the beach in the sun, you'll know exactly what I mean.
Ever been swimming at a local swimming pool on a sunny day? Did you notice how great you slept that night?
Sunlight exposure during the day will increase your melatonin output at night.
Melatonin is a natural hormone produced by our bodies and improves the quality of sleep and even slows the aging process!
When you improve the quality of sleep, you will definitely get better results from your weight lifting workouts and cardiovascular workouts. You WILL build muscle faster and burn fat faster.
Try getting sunlight more often and see how much better you sleep… the difference is amazing and this is one of the BIGGEST benefits of sunlight.
If you've had trouble sleeping, I guarantee a day out in the sun will take care of that for you and get you back on the right track to sleeping well.

Here's How You Can Increase Your Exposure to Sunlight
Cardiovascular exercise is a MUST if you want to burn body fat and improve your health.
I always recommend AT LEAST 3 cardio workouts per week, and I always recommend that you rotate as many different activities as possible.
You can take your cardio workouts outside into the sunlight so you get the awesome benefits of sunlight.
There are tons and tons of outdoor activities you can do to increase your exposure to the sun.
For example, I pull and drag my weight sled in my side yard during sunny days for my cardio workout. I will do body weight exercises on my patio for cardio workouts including jump rope and jumping jacks.
I highly recommend you get outdoors in the sunshine whenever you can. The sunshine will do amazing things to change your body into the one that you've always wanted.
Here's some other ways to get some sun:
- Mow the grass in shorts and a tank top, bathing suit, or even shirtless if you're a guy. I don't recommend shirtless if you're a woman unless you want to cause car accidents!
- Do yard work. Mulch, plant flowers, trim the weeds, round up, bug spray, add some bird feeders, and anything else that gets you out of the house and into the sun.
- Walk your dog. Go to the park or walk your dog down your street or around your neighborhood.
- Lay out in the sun and read a book or listen to music. Relax and enjoy the beautiful weather.
- Spend the day out on the lake or beach if you're lucky enough to live near one.
I can guarantee you will look better and feel better if you start to get outside more.
The benefits of sunlight are amazing, and I can't wait for you to see what the sun can do for you.
WARNING: Be Smart About Getting Sunlight
Over exposure to sunlight can be VERY dangerous.
I've had my share of sun burns throughout my life, and I am now very careful not to stay in the sun for long periods of time without protection.
If needed, ease yourself into sun exposure. Start out with a small amount and increase the exposure time over the weeks.
Always be careful not to stay in the sun too long. This is VERY important. Use protection if you will be in the sun for long periods of time.
“Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun.”
John says
I love the sun too. I really miss it. I live in a cold area and can’t wait for spring to get here. So cold outside.
