Here's my list of the 10 best weight lifting exercises:
1. Low bar squat
2. Trap bar deadlift
3. Chin up
4. Dip
5. Push ups
6. Single arm overhead press
7. Single arm row
8. Lunges
9. Pull ups
10. Power shrug
This is my personal list. Any type of the above variations are also amazing exercises.
For example, the handstand push up is actually better than an overhead press but it might be difficult to find a location to do this as you need to start with easier variations. Many people aren't going to be able to find a wall in the gym to slide their feet across as this can mark up the wall. So I left them out for the overhead press.
I love the single leg squat but it's not on the list above. But it is a squat variation. This is just another example.
