If you decrease stress, your results will improve.
You could actually skyrocket your results just from decreasing stress in your life.
If you want to build more muscle and burn more fat, you've got to pay attention to stress levels in your life.
If you're not getting any results at all, maybe it's due to all the stress you're currently experiencing in your life. Maybe it's time to stop for a second and think about how to get rid of all this stress.
Let's see how you can decrease stress and start getting amazing results.
Stress Can Kill Your Results and Can Kill You
Stress can absolutely destroy your progress and can actually destroy your life.
Stress usually leads to anger, doing stupid things, making bad decisions, getting fired from your job, hurts your sleep, hurts your relationships, and more.
It especially will STOP any results you are striving for in the gym.
So it's an absolute must to decrease the amount of stress you have in your life. You MUST stop worrying about everything and stressing out over anything.
Trust me… everyone has stress issues. I am sitting here telling you this while being extremely stressed out from work.
Whenever I begin to feel extra and undue stress, I always remember that I have an eternity in heaven with all my friends and family. And you are my family. I hope to see you in heaven one day. That's going to be fun!
Really… why are we all so stressed out? We shouldn't be in a hurry. We shouldn't let little things bother us. Most of the little things that bother us aren't really worth the time. They really aren't.
Let's slow down and enjoy life. Let's help each other out and make life easier and better for everyone. Let's stop worrying about everything.
Do You Really Have Something to Stress Out About?
Many times… the things we stress out about are things that mean absolutely nothing in the big picture of life.
Maybe you have 100 things you need to get done at work. Well, those 100 things will be there tomorrow. They will be there the next day. If you don't get them all done, so what? You're only a single person. You can't be Superman or Wonder Woman. Don't expect to be.
Slow down and take the time to think things out.
Figure out what's really important and get those things done first. While you're doing the really important tasks, many of the smaller ones that weren't important will disappear anyway.
If they weren't important in the first place, you'll know when their priority fizzles out. I've been stressed out about little tasks before because someone told me it was important. In the big picture, it wasn't important at all.
So never let some tasks at work get to you. Do the important ones, and let the others slide if you don't have time to do them. You can only do so much.
You shouldn't be working ALL THE TIME. If you're one of those people that get to work at 6 in the morning and work until 9 pm at night every day because you're always trying to get caught up, let me give you an amazing tip:
You will never get caught up. The work will always be there. So STOP working all the time!!!
I've seen so many people destroy their families because all they want to do is work all the time and ignore their family. YES, your job is important but your family is more important.
You might think you will lose everything if you lose your job, but there are more jobs out there. If your job is destroying your life and your family, it's best that you get a new one anyway. If your boss expects you to put your job above all else, then find a new job immediately. That's a bad boss and a bad business.
Another Example of Something That Stresses Me Out
I always do what's right. I am an engineer and my job at work is to make sure problems with products that we produce get fixed.
When I find problems that are coming from a supplier that supplies us with parts, I have to work with a group of people responsible for the quality of that supplier.
This group of people is graded on how many supplier issues they have so instead of helping get issues fixed so we don't have them any more they fight me on every single problem so their numbers look good. All I want to do is get problems fixed. It's not their fault. It's coming from the supplier.
But they fight me on everything. This makes it really hard for me to do my job. And I'm going to fight back because I want to send good products out to our customers.
This causes lots of stress, and that's what stresses me out personally very, very much. I don't like fighting with people and arguing all the time. It's not good.
What stresses you out?
Please share in the comments section. Would love to hear about your stress. Maybe I can help or maybe we can help each other.
Do You Really Have Big Issues?
Can you control the problems in your life that are stressing you out?
The answer for most people will be yes. You might not think you have control over the problem but you really do.
Sometimes there are big problems that you have no control over… this might be a death in your family, a spouse leaving you for unknown reasons, a mom/dad leaving their kids, etc. Those are the big issues and those are the ones that you have no control over.
Your family and friends will pull together and help you through those hard times. Remember, I consider you family. If you need help, let me know. There are thousands of members here at WLC that will gladly help you too. We're all family here.
I want you to focus on the issues that you really can control.
Do you have money problems? Do you have too much to do? Kids driving you crazy? No time for yourself? And so on…
Taking Care of Money Problems
Many problems people have today revolve around money.
If you have money problems, you need to know what the top priorities are in your life so you don't let the money issues harm those top priorities.
For example, never let money problems destroy your family. As long as you have your family (God will always be there for you), you'll be alright. If you let the money problems destroy your relationship with your family, you will be in even more trouble.
You've got to find the root cause of your money problems.
Do you have gambling issues? Is your spouse causing the problems? Are you just over spending on everything? Are you using credit cards for everything and only paying the minimum amount? Are your student loans just too much?
Find out what's causing your money problems and make a plan of action to take care of those problems you have.
Maybe you see your friends buying all this “stuff” and you think you need to have it too. You don't. Material things are not important. They do not make us happy. That's a 100% true statement. Look at all the celebrities that have committed suicide. And the ones who haven't? They don't look too happy either.
There's always a way to fix a problem. Always.
Research your particular problem and get extra help if you need the help. Don't be afraid to admit you have a problem and get some extra help in fixing that problem.
If you're looking for extra ways to make money, find what you like best and start doing that to make some extra money.
For example, if you enjoy cleaning and/or running a business… start up a maid service and schedule to clean up homes when you have the time. You control the schedule so you control how much you make.
There are so many different services out there that people are willing to pay for: equipment rental, plumbing, outdoor cleaning, basement cleaning, selling things for people, personal training, DJ service, event planner, party planner, etc.
The list goes on and on forever and ever.
Your life is what you make of it… it's an open book. There are so many different directions you can go. If you're in trouble today, maybe you need to go a different direction. The direction you're going right now just got you into trouble. Are you sure you want to keep going that way?
And remember, money isn't everything — your family is much more important than money. You lose money and everything will be alright. You lose your family and you've got a much tougher road ahead.
Enjoy All The Things in Life…
If you dread going to work each day (I've been there), try changing your attitude when you go into work and be thankful for your job. It's simple to just try changing your outlook on each day.
Instead of thinking: “Great. Another day at this place.” Try thinking: “I'm so thankful for this job because it feeds me and my family every day and allows us to live in a nice home. I am so thankful.”
When you change your mindset, everything starts to get better.
Try doing peaceful and relaxing things when you get off work and on the weekends. Try sitting out on a porch somewhere when it's raining and enjoy the sights. Have you ever done that before? It's amazing that most people have never sat out on a porch and just watched the rain fall. It's amazing and an awesome feeling.
Enjoy nature and see what God gave us. It's absolutely amazing when you really start to notice all the amazing life around you. It really fills you up and makes you enjoy the awesomeness of life in general.
Life is amazing because you can do anything you want to do and be anything you want to be. It's your choice. If you think you're stuck somewhere in life, you're wrong. You can do and be anything you want.
Start enjoying life.
Stop worrying about all the little things in life.
When you do, you decrease stress and life gets better. Everything starts falling into place. You might even see God and find God along the way once you stop to enjoy what God gave us. Life is ours to do what we want with it — God made it that way for us.
What are you going to do with your life? Slow down and enjoy it? Or continue on the fast track to “success” like so many believe.
When many people get to that “success” in life (for example) by becoming an executive in a huge company, they then see that it wasn't all what they thought it would be. They then realize they destroyed their life trying to get to that “success” point in life. And yes, I've seen that many times.
Make sure you realize what you're doing and where you're headed in life.
I'll leave you with one question and one answer:
What's the real purpose of life?
Find God and you'll begin to understand the real purpose of life. Good luck and I'm always here to help. Just let me know.
