Diet and nutrition programs are everywhere.
How do you know what diet plan you should be using? It's tough to decide, huh?
Today, I'm going to make it very easy for you. I'm going to tell you all about diet and nutrition programs and how to know a good diet and nutrition plan when you see one.
Remember, all of the advice I am giving you today assumes you are lifting weights and doing cardio workouts regularly as explained in the WLC System.
The Diet Plan MUST Not Be Very Low to Zero Carb
So many diet and nutrition programs are very low to no carb programs.
If you're exercising regularly, you're not going to make optimal progress in the gym by limiting your carbohydrate intake. The right carbohydrates are premium fuel for your body.
You shouldn't be limiting carbohydrates in an attempt to burn more body fat.
If you're following the right diet plan, you don't and won't need to limit carbs at all.
I'll show you exactly what type of carbohydrates you should be eating.
Plenty of High Quality Protein
You don't have to overdo it on your protein intake by stuffing yourself full of protein and attempting to get 400 to 500 grams of protein every day.
Even if you wanted to, this will cost you an unbelievable amount of money. Protein is expensive.
Instead, focus on getting high quality protein from good sources.
You want to make sure you're body has protein available throughout the day. Protein is required for building muscle.
Most whey protein isn't high quality. When I say high quality, I typically mean something like grass-fed beef and it doesn't even have to be extra lean either.
I'll go over all of the high quality protein sources you should have in your diet and nutrition program.
Healthy Drinks Only
Lots of water is highly recommended.
But there are also some other very powerful drinks you should include in your diet.
Fermented drinks like Kombucha tea should be included in all diet and nutrition programs.
Other teas and healthy drinks that aren't fermented should also be included for the antioxidants and other nutrients your body needs.
DO NOT have any drinks that don't add nutrition into your diet plan. This includes energy drinks filled with sugar, sodas, fruit juices filled with sugar, and more of the so-called health drinks.
Get rid of them from your daily diet and nutrition program. You don't need any drinks that aren't a positive for your body.
Healthy Fats — SURPRISE!
Did you know real butter is actually healthy for you?
Saturated fats are healthy for you when you get them from the right sources.
Most people started avoiding fats a long time ago and that was the wrong move.
You need healthy fats and this not only includes unsaturated fats but saturated fats as well.
I'll tell you where you should be getting your fats from a little later.
Most Diet and Nutrition Programs Are Wrong
Much of what I've already told you isn't included in most diet and nutrition programs that you'll find in today's world.
Low quality foods in packaged boxes, low carb, no carb, avoid fats, avoid too much protein, and on and on.
I want to show you what types of foods you should have in your diet and nutrition program.
Everything you put in your body including food and drinks should be adding nutrition to your body.
If you aren't adding nutrition to your body, you shouldn't be eating it. And when I say that, I don't mean to eat an apple pie because it has some apples. Overall, the food should add positive nutrition to your body.
An apple pie takes away nutrition from your body because your body has to work to remove all the bad stuff you added to your body.
With a whole organic apple, you are adding 100% nutrition to your body and that's what you want.
Some of the Same Foods Are Healthy While Others Aren't
This might be confusing but let me explain…
Applesauce can be very healthy or it can be very unhealthy. If you made applesauce at home and didn't add any unhealthy ingredients, you would have an amazingly nutritious dish.
If you buy applesauce at a typical chain grocery store, you're most likely going to get applesauce with all kinds of additives that are very unhealthy for you.
You should always take a look at the ingredients list to ensure there aren't ANY dangerous ingredients.
And even if you do look at the ingredients list, you have to trust the manufacturer to tell the truth. I wouldn't bet on that.
If at all possible, making food yourself is the best bet but I do know it takes time. Just be sure to get food from trusted sources.

Some of the unhealthy foods listed above are unhealthy because they are usually found at a commercial grocery store. For example, steak sauce you find at a commercial grocery store will be very unhealthy.
If you make the steak sauce yourself with healthy ingredients, then obviously the steak sauce you have made should not be avoided.
You simply don't want to take in bad ingredients that are usually found in the foods I have listed above.
Any Diet and Nutrition Program Should Do This
I've heard so many people say that it's not about what you eat but how much you eat.
THIS is 100% false and completely WRONG.
The truth is it's all about what you eat. It starts with the foods you choose to eat.
You MUST choose the healthiest foods. When you do, these healthy foods are PACKED full of vitamins, minerals, and other powerful nutrients that your body needs. If you choose ONLY the healthiest foods, you are always ADDING nutrition to your body.
If you choose unhealthy foods (no matter how much of them you eat), you will be taking nutrients away from your body. When you eat unhealthy foods and junk foods, your body must use precious nutrients already within your body to help get rid of the poison you have added to your body through this unhealthy food.
If you eat ONLY the healthiest foods, you can eat less overall food and burn body fat much faster. You can also build muscle with fewer overall calories because your body has everything that it needs. You have flooded your body with nutrients!
For example…
Let's take 500 calories of twinkies and compare that to 500 calories of wild-caught salmon.
The salmon is filled with a HUGE number of nutrients! The twinkies will take a HUGE number of nutrients from your body and add absolutely nothing.
The foods you choose to eat are THE most important! Please remember that when choosing from all the different diet and nutrition programs available.
If you see any diet and nutrition program that doesn't focus on very healthy foods, you can stop looking and go elsewhere. If you follow the WLC System, you won't have to look anywhere else. Your search should be over. Using the WLC System will be the best decision you've ever made.
Hope This Helps in Recognizing Good Diet and Nutrition Programs
The entire focus of this page is to not give you a diet and nutrition program BUT give you details that will help you recognize the right diet and nutrition programs for you.
I've listed many of my secrets to an amazing diet plan here on this page.
If you want amazing results, follow the advice on this page and especially pack your diet and nutrition program full of nutritious foods.
Simply ask yourself if each food you are eating is adding nutrition to your body or taking it away.
Once you start ONLY adding nutrition to your body, your entire life will change.
Now find you some good diet and nutrition programs using the advice I have given you here. You'll be so glad you did when your life begins to change for the good.
Keith says
My question is my wife and I are workingout more than ever, and we eat fresh and frozen rasberries, blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries mixed in organic plain greek yogurt. W spunae also eat frozen and fresh spinach, kale, and green veggies with protein source. Our protein source are good including free range eggs, cottage cheese, chicken, and fish. My question is about the beef. We cannot find free range beeF near our area so we purchase extra lean beef and pork from store, is that ok.
President of WLC says
If you don’t mind me asking, where are you located? Have you looked for local farms in your area that might sell grass fed beef directly to you? Many farms will do so. It’s going to be a little more costly, but it’s worth it in my opinion. Much of the store bought commercial meat is not good for you at all. The cows are treated poorly which carries over to the meat. Some are treated with antibiotics and other medicine that carries over to the meat you are eating. To take a guess, I would guess the meat you are getting isn’t great but it all depends on where that particular grocery store gets their meat. Everywhere throughout the US and the world is so different that it’s difficult to say. I would ask the grocery store where the meat is coming from and look up those particular farms. Someone should be able to tell you. I would do some research and find out what you’ve been eating.

Darn good advise,
President of WLC says
Thanks George. Glad you agree with the advice on diet and nutrition programs. Hope it helped.
Susan says
What would you suggest for a vegetarian (no beef, chicken, pork or fish, i do eat cheese and eggs). That can’t eat gluten or soy? 🙁
President of WLC says
Susan, I am sure you have many good reasons for being a vegetarian but could I ask why so more of us can better understand? I will agree with you on many points such as (just guessing here) mass production meat farms are just wrong. I will not eat mass produced meats myself as it makes me sick thinking about what we are doing to ourselves. I do not know as much about vegetarian diets BUT I highly do not recommend vegan diets just for health reasons. I believe that animals when raised properly on proper farms only help us and the environment. I am not an expert on this and not looking for an argument. From my viewpoint, though, I just see a diet with the right meats as so much healthier and better for you. With a vegetarian diet, I think you could do well with whole eggs, milk, and cheeses. I just think fish, beef, bison, chicken, etc provide so many great nutrients. And you wouldn’t even have to eat a huge amount. I do not recommend a HUGE amount of meat. Just sensible portions so you get the nutrients your body needs. I always recommend a HUGE variety of different foods and that includes meat. Was hoping you could share some of your experiences as well as I am always looking to learn more. I see you as much more of an expert on vegetarian diets as I took a look at your website. Very nice site! Would love to hear more from you.
