Allergies, acid reflux, and eosinophilic esophagitis are just a few of the problems I've had for the vast majority of my life.
Prescription medicine was costing me $150 per month and the doctor visits were costing another few thousand dollars per year.
I was required to get a scope done on my esophagus once every year. That procedure alone cost 4 to 5 thousand dollars every single year.
So let's just say I was spending up to $10,000 per year on my health issues, and I still felt like crap.
If I forgot to take my medicine, I was in for a long night of my chest and esophagus burning. One wrong meal would cause 24 hours or more of pain. I would get no sleep and would be grouchy and grumpy to the people I love.
My work would suffer, and I wasn't able to build muscle or burn body fat because my body was simply trying to recover from the sickness and pain.
I Could Have Lost My Life Or Been Seriously Injured That Night…
My wife and I went to eat dinner at an Outback Steakhouse one night after attending a funeral (one of my good friend's Father passed away).
I will always remember that night.
I was very hungry and not very good at chewing my food. I ate some bread quickly and that's when it all happened…
In the past, I had trouble swallowing food without a lot of extra water because my esophagus walls were much more narrow due to the eosinophilic esophagitis (didn’t know I had it at the time).
I ignored the problems I had but that night really made me wake up.
When I swallowed the bread, it got stuck in my esophagus. I stood up and the room started spinning. I was trying to ask for help but everyone around acted like they didn’t see anything. My wife (who is a nurse) saw me and realized what was happening. She gave me the heimlich maneuver and was able to dislodge most of the bread.
I made it to the restroom with some of the bread still stuck in my throat. I was able to cough it out and was able to breathe again.
This was very scary, and I was very lucky to have my wife there with me. She did not hesitate at all.
Do you know how difficult it would have been to get a stranger to help? I remember seeing them when the room was spinning and they simply glanced at me and looked away. Because that's what we do as strangers. My wife was playing with our little girl (coloring with her) but luckily looked up to see me choking.
I had never gone through anything like that before so not being able to communicate with my voice was something I wasn't prepared for. I made the choking sign, and that's when my wife knew. She saved me that day.
And that's when I found out about all the issues I had that I was ignoring for so long.
You Don't Need Anything Else That Makes Life Tougher For You
Life is already tough enough.
When you have that extra pain and sickness to deal with it's much more difficult.
It's hard to be happy when you’re always hurting, not sleeping, and feeling bad each and every second of each and every day.
The medicine, doctor visits, and procedures were costing my family so much that I didn't have enough money to save for anything. Our bank account balances were decreasing more and more each day.
I had to do something, so I stopped taking all medicine. I had tried stopping before. Whenever I did, I would get sick immediately. I would get what felt like the flu for about 2 weeks (addiction to the medicine).
So I stopped anyway, went through the 2-week sickness, and STOPPED eating all processed foods.
STOP Eating Processed Foods And Anything Not Naturally Occurring
This included any foods that might have anything added to them that aren't natural.
I stopped eating canned foods, ANY fast food, greasy foods, and anything else that was truly unhealthy.
I stuck to ONLY natural foods and still do to this day.
If I stray from this strict rule, I instantly gain the acid reflux issues and spend all night awake. It never fails.
So instead of spending $10,000 a year on doctor visits, procedures, and medicine I decided to start buying organic vegetables, grass fed beef and bison, wild-caught fish, free-range chicken, organic fruits, and other naturally occurring foods.
Yes, the food cost much more because it takes more time and more effort for the farmers to produce this food but hey, it's extremely healthy and this is what we were meant to eat.
It's not fake, genetically altered, highly processed, or anything like that. It's REAL food. It tastes so much better, has real flavor, and completely nourishes our body. Real food is filled with nutrition.
And YES, the food is costing me much more each week, but I don't have to eat as much to get the nutrition I need so the cost isn't REALLY much more at all.
And I am saving $10,000 each and every year and more! I feel great now and that's worth more than any amount of money.
Guess What Happened When I Stopped Eating Processed Foods?
Acid reflux is completely gone. Allergies are gone. Sickness is gone. Sleepless nights are out of here. Esophagitis is completely gone.
I don't have to worry about my esophagus splitting when I try to swallow some food.
I don't have ANY trouble swallowing food at all any more.
Whenever I would eat a meal and swallow, I would have to make sure I had water available to help force the food down my esophagus. I lived like that for years. Ridiculous. Imagine worrying about every swallow choking you to death.
All of this because of the nasty and unhealthy food I was eating. Food that was slowly killing me. But no more! I had a choice, and I made it.
You have a choice today. You need to make that choice. Make the switch to healthy food. Food that will nourish your body, change your life, and make you feel better than ever before.
What if I told you that you could feel great if you change the way you eat?
You probably don't even know what it feels like to actually feel great each day. You've probably become accustomed to feeling bad and that's how you think you should feel each day.
Well, it's not. It's time to see how you should feel.
