No Bad Foods

I was wondering about mixing coffee with protein powder. I do that in the morning with oats and protein powder and egg whites. Also make my own protein smoothie using all types of berries, heavy cream, liquid egg whites, and plain low fat greek yogurt. Just wanted to make sure I would be on the right track.

Why do you mix your coffee with protein powder? Do you do that every morning? Do you do it for the caffeine kick? If so, I would save the caffeine kick for before weight lifting workouts only. If you feel like you need to have coffee it might be that you are addicted to the caffeine. If you stop drinking the coffee, you’ll probably get headaches due to the caffeine addiction. Did you know that the caffeine in the coffee beans is used as a natural pesticide? So I don’t recommend so much caffeine every day but I do recommend it before weight lifting workouts for that extra energy burst and focus. If you limit caffeine intake and then use it strategically before workouts, it will work very good and give you tons of energy and focus to lift heavier weights.
Also, for your diet you need to be sure your entire diet plan for the day consists of healthy foods. Recommend a balanced meal every 3 hours. For your first protein shake you listed above, you are missing fats from that meal. The oats have some fats but I would include the whole egg and not just the egg whites. The yellow/orange part of the egg has all the nutrients and is very, very healthy for you. It’s a myth that eggs are bad for you. Yeah, they are bad for you if you fry them up in all kinds of oil and grease as many people do and eat them with pancakes, syrup, and all the other unhealthy foods. So I would include the whole egg with your first shake there. For the second shake, that looks good. The whole egg is much better than adding the heavy cream.
