Are low calorie diets good for fat loss?
Do they really work?
That's exactly what we're going to learn today.
When you starve yourself, your body is being threatened at its highest level.
Your body will respond to this threat by saving all the body fat that it can.
Your body will turn to other sources of energy, slow your metabolism, and do everything in its power to help you survive.
You may feel that your body is fighting against you because it really is…
Never starve your body. Feed your body, and be rewarded. Starve your body, and you'll have a fight on your hands. You'll fight your body for every ounce of fat.
Guess what, though? Your body will win.
What Happens During A Low Calorie Diet?
Initially, your body will burn some fat on a low calorie diet.
But, your body will also burn muscle for energy. Eventually, your body will do everything that it can to keep from using fat as energy. This is exactly what you do not want.
When you starve yourself, where are you getting all the nutrients your body needs for survival?
That's right. You aren't giving your body anything that it needs. You will eventually get sick if you continue to starve your body.
Did you know that muscle burns calories? Well, a low calorie diet causes you to lose muscle. What does that mean for your fat loss efforts?
When you lose muscle, you lose your greatest ally to the fat loss process.
You see, your body needs a certain amount of calories each day to stay at the same body weight. This amount is called your metabolic rate. You want your metabolic rate to be as high as possible for the fat burning process.
The higher this amount, the more food you can eat and the more nutrients your body will receive from your diet. When you starve your body, you greatly lower these amounts!
You do not want to lower your metabolism.
The more muscle you have, the higher amount of calories you can eat. When you lose muscle, you lose these calories. You will have to eat even less to lose more weight.
Don't Start a WAR With Your Body… You'll Lose!
You are now in an outright war with your body that you will not win. You begin wasting away. You lose a great amount of muscle mass and you keep all the nasty body fat.
When you come off of your low calorie diet, you will gain so much body fat.
You started the war with your body, and your body will not quit. It will store fat because it continues to be in survival mode. It needs to be prepared for another attack.
So, never attempt to lose fat with a low calorie diet. Low calorie diets will only put you in a bigger hole than before you started the fat loss program.
Instead, we'll teach you how to feed your body what it needs and burn the body fat through exercise.
This means you'll keep all your muscle (maybe even gain some if you use our weight lifting programs) and lose body fat quickly.
When you keep all your muscle, the fat loss is quick and easy. You'll see.
