Once you've written your goals, you've got to continually read over the goals and visualize meeting those goals.
Repeatedly reading over your goals and visualizing your goals will help you relay the message to your brain.
When your subconscious mind learns what you want through:
– Goal writing
– Visualization of those goals
– Repetition of those goals
Your mind will do everything in its power to turn those goals into reality. When you get your mind on your side, you've just created your greatest ally in your journey to the body of your dreams.
Take control of your mind right now. You can make your mind your most powerful asset, or you can make it your biggest enemy. I suggest you make it your biggest asset. You do not want to go up against your own mind. You will lose.
Many people who have weight problems let their mind take control. They let their mind tell them that they can't go without those cakes, cookies, and potato chips.
They have to have them in their pantry.
If those people could take control of their minds, the weight problem will disappear. They don't need cakes, cookies, and potato chips.
The Subconscious Mind
The subconscious mind can sabotage your efforts. You've got to really believe that you can do something. If you doubt yourself at all, you are most likely sending this doubt to your subconscious mind.
Your mind will then work against you because you've told your mind that you really can't achieve that goal.
As we've seen in a few of the studies earlier, the mind can achieve certain things without actual practice of that activity.
In the case of building muscle and losing fat, your mind will not be able to produce muscle gain and fat loss without you providing your body with the proper stimulus.
I am trying to tell you that you're going to have to work hard in the gym and out of the gym to get the greatest results.
Don't try to sit on the couch and tell your mind that you are building muscle and losing fat and never get off of the couch. You've got to work hard. Program your mind and work hard and get amazing results.
Remember the basketball free throw shooting study? If not, I'll just tell you that visualization of making free throws helped as much if not more than actual practice shooting free throws.
Just think of the results if actual practice was combined with visualization. The results would have been even more amazing.
Sabotage, Sabotage, Sabotage: The Cycle Continues
Do you know what I eventually figured out throughout the years of my muscle building and fat loss efforts?
I finally figured out why I would constantly sabotage my efforts. I would cheat on my diet for several days at a time.
I would go out and eat any fast food I could find. I loved going to Kentucky Fried Chicken and getting enough for 3 people. I would sit there and eat it all. I would later go out to another restaurant and eat enough for 3 people again. I wouldn't stop for 3 or 4 days at a time.
I would end up with more body fat than when I started the program cycle.
I would work hard for several weeks at a time. Those 3 or 4 days would sabotage all of my hard work. Everything ruined. Why did I do that?
I started to realize what was happening.
A few days before I started that 3 to 4 day binge on fast food, I would get negative feelings and thoughts about my physique. I would tell myself that I could never achieve the body I wanted. I was telling my subconscious mind that there was no way I could get that body.
And how did the subconscious mind respond?
Your Mind Listens to You
My mind helped me achieve exactly what I had told it a few days earlier. I told it that I didn't want a leaner body. I told it to sabotage my efforts. And that's exactly what happened every time.
When I realized the power of my subconscious mind, I knew I had to put a stop to the negative thoughts and negative thinking.
I started to think positive at all times. I started writing goals and engraving those goals into my mind through repetition. Only then did I start to see the best results of my life. My dream body started to take form right before my eyes.
Have you been through the same thing before? Do you sabotage your efforts?
This reminds of a friend of mine who was very overweight. She was always starting a new diet. It didn't matter what day of the year it was, she was starting a new diet.
She was surrounded by bad food all the time. When the bad food showed up, she was instantly off of her diet and starting a new one the next day.
She was always thinking negatively about herself. She had programmed her mind to sabotage her new diet every day throughout the year. She had told herself that she could not lose weight. And her mind followed suit.
Do you cheat on your diet? Do you skip workouts because you are tired? Do you just not have the time to workout? I bet your life is just too busy for working out, huh? This program is just too much for you, isn't it? Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
PURGE Those Negative Thoughts Right Now
Get the negative thoughts out of your mind now! Because you can do this! You're going to turn it around right now.
If you continue to think negative as above, you will continue to sabotage your efforts. The truth is this program can be accomplished by anyone and everyone. It's easy. Take the time to read the program, study the program, and follow the program fully and completely.
You have time to work out and you have time to eat right! You can do this! You have to believe. Still don't think you have time to work out?
I have a full time Engineering job. I have a 3 year old. I have a 1 year old. I have a wife that works to help support our family. I have a website that I run full time all alone. I've written books. I take care of my home. I mow grass for 2 hours every 5 days. I have two dogs. I give a full effort to my diet, weight lifting, and cardiovascular workouts. I play sports. I spend time with my wife and family. I spend time with my friends. I train people online and answer questions throughout the day. I plan and schedule my time wisely.
Bottom line. You have time to work out. You can get anything you want. All of us have 24 hours each and every day. Some of us make the most of those 24 hours while others waste their time.
I bet you watch TV. Spend that time more wisely… that's just one example.
Let's do this together. I will always be here for you throughout your new journey.
Stop sabotaging your efforts. Follow the goal writing guidelines. Visualize. Repeat. Do this over and over. You will program your mind to help you achieve the body of your dreams.
I can't wait for you to see the results once your mind is on your side.
A Look Inside The Mind
Let's take a look inside your mind for a second…
You have a conscious mind and a subconscious mind. You will be very familiar with the conscious mind. The conscious mind is the thinking part of the mind that you use every day.
You use the conscious mind to analyze inputs and come up with a rational output.
We do not feel the subconscious mind thinking as we do our conscious minds. The subconscious mind automatically performs its functions. We are unaware of our subconscious mind.
Your subconscious mind accepts everything that you tell it. If you have doubt in yourself, your subconscious mind accepts this doubt. If you have faith in yourself, your subconscious mind also accepts this faith.
If you are always negative, your subconscious mind will always be there influencing you in the negative direction.
No One Likes a Negative Person!
You don't want to be a negative person, do you? Always failing?
No, of course you don't want to be a negative person.
How would you like to be a positive person all the time? You achieve everything that you want because you know that you can. Your mind works with you and never against you to help you achieve your goals.
The subconscious mind takes orders from your thoughts and feelings. When you think positively, you send a positive order to your mind. You send an order to help get things done. And that's exactly what you want to do when it comes to building muscle and losing fat.
How do you send these positive orders?
Sending Positive Orders to the Subconscious Mind
You write powerful goals following the guidelines set forth in this program. You read the goals. You visualize the goals. You believe you can meet the goals. And you constantly repeat that process:
- Write Powerful and Inspiring Goals
- Read the Goals
- Visualize the Goals
- Believe You can Meet the Goals
- Repeat
Repeating the process engraves these positive orders into your mind. If you can deeply relax while reading, visualizing, and believing you can meet those goals, the process will be much faster.
If you've got a hot tub, go over your goals while relaxing in the hot tub and recovering faster from workouts.
Take a hot bath while repeating the process above.
Repeat the process over and over until these goals become reality. This works. So use it to your advantage. Start sending the orders to your subconscious mind today. Got your list of goals?
Start visualizing them, believing in them, and repeating the process.
You will be amazed.
Don't quit and don't give up on this process. Remember, you will only think positive from here on out. You have all the reason in the world to think positive because this program works.
Replacing a Negative Thought
You've got to become more conscious of your thoughts throughout the day.
If you catch yourself thinking negatively, you need to immediately replace the negative thought with a positive thought.
If you consciously make replacements of negative thoughts with positive thoughts, you will begin to think less negatively at all times.
It's this process of repeatedly replacing negative thoughts that eventually leads to positive thinking.
When you think positive, you believe in yourself and begin to develop confidence in yourself. With this confidence, you know you can achieve anything.
That's the point where you start to achieve all of your loftiest goals.
How Often Should You Review Your Goals?
You should look at your goals each and every day and multiple times throughout the day. This action of constantly repeating your goals sends that message to your subconscious mind.
You'll want to organize your goals neatly and put them on paper that you can take with you anywhere. Keep it in your wallet, purse, briefcase, or book bag.
Carry your goals with you everywhere. Put them in your wallet, purse, or lunch bag and take them with you every day. Take them with you to the gym and review them between sets and exercises.
Keep a copy in your bathroom, in your desk at work, in the kitchen, on the wall of your home gym, and any other place that gives you easy access to these goals. Look at them often.
Take some time at the beginning and end of each day to do some visualization.
If you have the time and privacy at lunch time, visualize them then also. This is your life. Take control of it by constantly reviewing your goals and visualizing those goals.
