Finding a good weight lifting schedule that fits into a busy schedule can be tough.
You have to make exercise and your health a top priority in your life.
It may seem selfish to make it a top priority over other important things…
God is ALWAYS first. Everything else will fall into place. But your health is also VERY important!
Without your health, you can't do anything else. So it must be a top priority.
I'm going to show you how to develop a weight lifting schedule that is quick and easy but keep you strong and healthy for life.
Life Gets Very Busy and Very Demanding If You Let It…
As I have grown up over the years, my life has become busier than I ever expected.
I obtained a very good job but that job keeps me very busy all day and sometimes all night.
My wife and I have 2 kids now. I underestimated kids. I never expected them to take so much effort and be so demanding.
I knew they would be difficult, but never had anything so important to love and to care for in my life. It brings a new meaning to life and is something you just can't prepare for enough.
I never listened to all the people who said kids are very demanding.
Well, I found out really quickly how much time and effort they take. They are the second highest priority in our life (God is always first and putting Him first teaches our kids what they need to know) so they get all the love, care, and attention they need. They deserve this because God gave these precious little humans to us! He gave life to us!
It Doesn't Matter How Busy You Are…
Top priorities are top priorities.
Do you think I'm going to let my busy life get in the way of my children? No. Nothing is going to take away from me spending time with my kids and my wife and worshiping God at all times.
If you're letting other things take priority over the things that are really important in your life, then you need to take a step back and figure out what you're going to do to fix your problem.
If TV is a god in your life, cancel your TV subscription. I've done that several times in my life and guess what? My life was better! The TV spreads evil throughout the world. If you don't believe that, pay attention to what you see. I have went several years without watching TV regularly and I now turn it on and immediately notice all the evil. It's ridiculous. Really.
But some people think I'm crazy if I tell them to get rid of their TV subscription. They act as if it's the end of the world. Instead of watching TV, you can workout or study God's word. You don't need that TV.
A job is important because you have to take care of your family. So your job is a top priority.
If you're going above and beyond what you really have to do for your job and you're spending your entire life soaked in your job, then you need to stop. This means your job is a higher priority than your family and God. Not good.
If you don't have time to exercise for a few hours per week because of your job, then you have a problem.
Your job is too much. No one should be expected to work every waking hour. For some reason, in the United States, this work ethic is becoming normal. God doesn't want us working all the time. What did Jesus do when there was trouble on the ship with the disciples? He slept. All that trouble and all those problems because the storm was there. Jesus slept. There are no problems when you have Jesus. Rest in the peace you have in Jesus. Just rest.
And actually, you'll do better in your job by taking some time out of each day to have some fun, to exercise, to spend time with the people who are important to you. God should be VERY important to you! You should be spending all day with Him!
With all that said, let's talk about a weight lifting schedule that will work for you.
An Abbreviated Weight Lifting Schedule for Busy Men and Women
I want you to pick 2 days out of the week. Leave a few days between each of those days you choose.
A good choice could be Monday, Friday or Tuesday, Saturday. Any choice you make is good as long as you have a few days rest between workouts.
Morning workouts are the best for busy people.
Why?
Because there is less to interrupt you if you get out of bed early before anyone else is awake. No one can bother you if they are still sleeping, right?
I have gotten up as early as 3:45 AM for weight lifting workouts.
I actually have grown to love the early morning weight training. If you don't think you can do the early morning workouts, trust me… you can.
As soon as you throw some weight on the bar and try a heavy set, you'll be awake. You have no choice but to wake up (your pre-workout warm-up should wake you up first, though!).
So choose 2 days during the week, schedule an early morning workout, and give yourself 30 to 45 minutes to complete the workout.
2 Days Per Week for 30 to 45 Minutes Each Workout
That's all you need to get amazing results from a weight lifting program if you do everything right.

A weight lifting schedule for busy men and women should be simple. 2 days per week for 30 to 45 minutes each week is pretty simple.
Just make sure you are lifting weights progressively… meaning you are making progress each workout by lifting heavier weight or increasing the reps with the same weight.
