Why weight lifting? That's the question of the day…
Why should you lift weights?
I'm going to answer this and many people aren't going to like it…
Including all of those people giving out bad information about exercise.
I get so sick of reading or seeing these exercise programs that all they are supposed to do is help someone lose weight. They help them burn calories and lose weight.
That's simple… it's not hard to do.
Weight loss really is easy when you do it the wrong way. All you have to do is eat less and do some activity to burn calories.
These scam artists take advantage of everyone that fall for their tricky exercise programs. They do help them lose weight, but do you know what that “really” means?
You're Losing Precious Muscle When You Aren't Weight Training
Losing weight on most of these programs means losing large amounts of lean muscle mass!
These exercise programs don't care if you lose muscle. People see success as losing weight. Losing weight is what the program was intended to do so it must be good, right?
WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
Your goal is to hold onto all of your muscle mass or, at the very least, the most amount of muscle possible.
I wish people would stop being obsessed with only losing weight! Weight loss alone is not the key!
Alright… I'll calm down now. Let me check my blood pressure.
