“Hi Josh, OK…here it is warts and all…I’m 43 yr old bachelor, live alone, spend 8-9 hrs a day in front of a computer screen when at work and on a couch in front of tv when not. I smoke 4-5+ cigarettes daily and have been for over 28 years. My diet is extremely poor and is determined by quick and convenient accessibility, hence fast, junk food with plenty of sugary treats. From what I’ve read – everything I shouldn’t eat I do!!! Tried weight training about 12 years ago for about 4 months with great results but currently find a lack of motivation and energy. I have access to a basic weight bench and dumb bells with limited weights. I previously injured my shoulder – AC Joint in rugby haven’t played for about 7 years. I now only play social indoor soccer once a week (40mins), this is the only time my heart rate gets elevated. At about 5’11 and approx 190 lbs friends tell me I look athletic but I know otherwise. The love handles are there, my bulging gut hangeth over and my man boobs need support!! And my strength has diminished beyond embarrassment. Needless to say my self-esteem and confidence has taken a knock.
